We understand that it can be difficult to initiate a conversation with a mentee or mentor. If you are just beginning your journey together as mentor and mentee, or even if you have been matched for a while, having conversations can sometimes feel daunting. We have put together a list of 28 conversation starters to help guide you down the path of creating awesome memories, building trust, and having a connection that leads to positive impacts all around!

- What are two things still on your bucket list?
- What was the make and model of your first car?
- How well do YOU work with a team? With a partner? As a group member?
- Do you currently live in the same place that you were born?
- Which grade in school did you think was the most difficult? Which year was your favorite?
- Where is your favorite place in the world?
- If you are cooking only for yourself- what is your favorite dish to make?
- What are two things you never leave the house without?
- Which snacks are your must-haves for road trips?
- What is your most valuable possession?
- Do you often remember your dreams?
- When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
- What does your ideal day look like?
- Who inspires you?
- Where do you go when you want to be alone?
- Are you named after anyone? If not, how did your parents come up with your name?

TIP!
Avoid the rapid fire method, and try to focus on only one or two questions at a time. You can build off of the question, and have a conversation surrounding that topic during the remainder of your time together that day!
